Reiki for animals uses the same principals as for humans. It is the same Universal Life Force Energy that helps them. As with Reiki with humans it promotes:

* Balancing the animals' energy

* Heals at the source of injury or illness

* Relieves stress, anxiety, and tension

* Reduces the effects of trauma both physical and emotional

* Helps relieve pain

* Calms distressed animals

* Maintains wellness

Reiki is ideal for animals because it is gentle and noninvasive. Animals respond more easily to Reiki. 

Unlike us humans, they do not have To-Do Lists to worry about or appointments to keep. They readily absorb the Reiki's energy. 

A lot of the time when I give Reiki to an animal they come up as close to me as possible for it's healing.

For animals who are healthy, Reiki helps to maintain their health, enhances relaxation and provides an emotional sense of peace and contentment.
